2nd thought's Stew??

If i had a VXR i would not want to be the guinea pig TBH, i would want to wait until all the testing has been done and proven not to kill the engine's longevity etc - then i would gladly spend the cash.

Im not saying your wrong in doing what you done Stew but if it was mine i would not be doing it...

tricky one stu tbh, what happens if they blow up yer engine, damage the car in any way, will they sort it,and if it was too get written off whilst this testing was going on i cant see your insurance paying out,but im sure they will take care of the car, although id agree with steven that being a guinea pig for anything is not an entirely good thing, fingers crossed everything is ok dude

You're a pioneer my friend and at least you can proudly say you were the first to have alot of the things done to your motor. If i had a vxr and had the same oppertunity i would take it

Not so much 2nd thoughts bud, more paranoia than anything, just wanted to see what you all thought, i know if anything happens to the car it will be replaced and fixed 100% right again

I see what your saying pogster, he says there fully insured and not to worry about anything in respect of damage or loss to the car, its under there control now so it should be there insurance, he says anything goes wrong it will be fixed,

The market aint been there for it till now, its a by product for the insignia, the only people that could afford the vec were fuddy duddys now us young guys have them, they realise there is a market for it,
Was also thinking, surely TMS will make this 1 a belter too show off what they can do?

TBH Stew as long as the car is covered everyhing will be cool, also as you say itsin Thorney's best interest's to make the car a beast so win win situation. I apologise for puting doubt's in your head, im pretty cautious when it come's to thing's like this but if it were not for the like's of you who are willing to do this we would not have stage 2,3 or 4 for a vectra VXR:cool:

Yea buddy, every new piece that goes on gets dyno'd etc, then i get told how it goes and stuff like that

I am assuming they will cover the costs should you have any problems? Tbh I wouldnt be too concerned as they will have some insurance should the worst happen unlikely you would be left high and dry.

You'll be fine matey, they will want and need to make this work. Think of the money they will be investing into your car. So yeah, they will be wanting it to work.

Do you think if something goes bang while their testing (and it will prob happen at some point) they will be on the phone telling you, "chr1st Stu, your turbo's feked!!!" No danger, they'll be replacing it and taking note of the problem that caused it in the first place so they don't do it again and not telling you. They'll be worried you'll be down there first thing to collect your car and leave them back at square one.

Just think the day the phone call comes through, "Stu, your new beast is ready mate. All is fine and it's ready for you to collect.....just watch though - it's mental and a bit on the fast side!!!!!!!":p;):D

tbh mark with the price of the vec vxr at the begining there wasnt much call for tuning due to the price of the motor and a lot of reps running them but with the prices being what they are now there are more folk buying thats into tunning so theyve now had to start the astra/corsas went off like rockets on the tunning front because of the younger generation owning them

I had to vote no buddy, sorry.

All the kit and free stuff sounds amazing, but surely everybody is overlooking one tiny detail that you mentioned a while back, and that should make it a HUGE no-no!

They're gonna paint it GREEN :mad::eek:!!!

You sure you're gonna be able to live with that dude?

Will it not just be like the Astra/Corsa VXR-R? Don't think the whole car will be green buddy

INSURANCE

Insurance will be ok I'm sure.

I went from the diesel vectra to the group 20 Impreza STi and for me & the missus fully comp it was only an additional £70 for the remaining 11 months of our policy, and they always have an admin charge too :dancing:.

Oh dear, 4 no's

Aye, but I was just at the wind-up with mine tho!!!

I'd jump at the chance as well, you're a jammy bugger, but at least it's someone I know that's getting this fantastic opportunity !
